What? Dumbbells for fat loss?
YES!
Most of you probably go through the same workout over and over. And you might have had great success with your weight going down in the beginning, but it eventually slows like a tortoise. You everything you’ve been trying lately just doesn’t give you the desired physique you’re looking for.
So I’m going to ask you, have you tried using dumbbells as your fat loss tool? Why dumbbells?
The simple answer, it’s causes stress on the muscles. And stress on the muscles means you’re making your body work harder. And the harder the body works, the more energy it needs. So you’re upping your caloric expenditure. Which means you are using extra fat storage for energy. Also by using dumbbells, you will be increasing more muscle density and muscles use fat for energy at rest. Using an external load like dumbbells not only makes your exercises more challenging but you will also improve your muscular strength. Which helps your prevent aches and pains.
In this video, I go through a few full body dumbbell exercises to show how to incorporate them into any existing workout. I suggest starting with a lighter weight dumbbell if you are not comfortable with weight training. Otherwise, use a weight which challenges you.
- Dumbbell Shoulder Press with Squats
- Dumbbell Bicep Curls with Lunges
- Dumbbell V-Sit with Twists
I recommend aiming for 12-15 reps and 2 – 3 sets. Change up your workouts with dumbbells to help with weight loss.
