Pickleball is the number 1 sport for injuries at the moment.

Does this mean you should never play the sport?

It depends. I’m a firm believer if you’re body is conditioned and ready for sport, you can play any sport to your fitness level.

Understanding the movements of pickleball can help you train and condition your body properly to help prevent injuries and improve your performance. It’s vital for your muscles and joints to be mobile and strong for the quick pivots of the game of pickleball. Begin with lower body mobility exercises for footwork and then strengthen exercises for power and stability.

So why did I stop playing pickleball?? You guessed it. It was due to an unfortunate injury.
