Sprains, tears, fractures are no fun.

The swelling and bruising makes this experience even more painful. While I recover from my achilles rupture, I am willing to try many natural remedies to help with the pain and swelling.

So today I want to share my experience of this “Contrast Bath Therapy” my physio recommended. This contrast bath therapy is to help reduce swelling. The hot and cold concept it to expand and contract the blood vessels and introduce new blood flow into the injured area.

So here’s what I did:

This contrast bath for swollen muscles is unique and I can see how it can help promote quicker healing. It does take some getting use to initially, especially the first round of adding my foot into the hot bucket.
